H13 (material 1.2344, X40CrMoV5-1) is a chromium-molybdenum-vanadium hot-work tool steel with excellent toughness and resistance to thermal fatigue. It is the standard grade for die-casting dies, hot forging dies and extrusion tooling. Supplied as round bar, flat bar and forged block.
